Our North American division is looking to hire one full time and permanent Marketing and Communications Coordinator in Jessup, Maryland for our Marketing division.
The successful employee would be responsible for implementing the local marketing communications action plan for the USA and Canada under the direction of the Marketing Communications Manager. Core job functions include organizing and preparing for exhibitions, campaigns and product launches in line with global brand requirements.
In this role, you would work as a part of a team within the Jessup office, as well as a virtual team within North America and international peers..
Support the local and global marketing communications team and work very closely with local sales team. Coordinate exhibition participation, client focused events, press conferences and sponsorships: Ensure company compliance with event site rules and regulations Liaison between conference organizers and venue personnel Understand each event’s exhibitor kit and accordingly place orders for services and rental items in a timely fashion Provide company information by deadlines (ads, logos, exhibitor listing text, etc.) Coordinate packing and shipping related items (brochures, promotional materials, etc.) Travel to show site for event management Ensure on-time submittal of ads to local trade publications Oversee work done by external suppliers Gather production cost estimates Review art proofs to ensure alignment with global brand guidelines Stay on top of production deadlines and quality requirements Responsible for tracking spending and helping to maintain set budgets. Aiding in the preparation of presentations and/or speeches geared towards employees and customers Drafting web materials, press releases, ad copy etc To succeed, you will need:
An academic four year B.S. degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field, or a minimum of 3-5 years working experience in marketing communications, advertising or event coordination. Excellent computer skills on the Microsoft office platform. (Adobe Creative Suite and other desktop publishing tool expertise would be a major advantage.) Strong communication skills with expert written, grammatical and verbal skills Good interpersonal and customer service skills Demonstrated leadership, dedication, capacity to perform under pressure and strive to grow. Strong organizational skills Works well with others Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet fast deadlines Ability to work independently while performing required tasks. Readily available to work overtime as needed to accomplish tasks Detail oriented Energetic and enthusiastic with a positive attitude Good knowledge of general office procedures and policies Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines. Ability to establish priorities Creative individual open to understanding a highly technical industry
