Our client Microteam Oy is a design company specializing in embedded systems, industrial and vehicle automation. Applications developed by Microteam have been applied by lines of industry like defense force devices, vehicles, machine workshops, paper mills, steelworks, pharmaceutical products and telecommunications all over the world. We have offices in Tampere, Turku and Wroclaw, Poland.
We are looking for Software Designers and Architects to strengthen and join the experts of their R&D team in Tampere. Your primary responsibilities include development of client-server and embedded solutions, using the latest technologies and will in cooperation with your colleagues develop technologically high-end solutions for our customers. Your work may also include integration, integration support, and consultancy with our customers and partners. In addition, knowledge of microcontrollers, buses and embedded systems enable you to be successful in your position.
Your responsibilities also include coaching more junior team members and providing technical support in your expert area.
Qualifications
You have a BSc or MSc degree in SW engineering or other relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in working in R&D SW projects. You are familiar with large SW systems design and development and are familiar with network techniques and client server solutions.
You also have experience in version control systems and agile development methods.
Languages
You need to have at least basic level Finnish skills, additional language skills are considered an advantage.
Technical
Any of the following technologies are considered an asset:
Server side:
- Relational Databases
- XML-Technologies (SXD, XSLT, WSDL, XQuery)
- Functional programming
- WOA/SOA
- Java/JavaBeans /Java servlets
- HTML5/Dojo
- C#/C
Embedded systems:
- Embedded linux, drivers and application development
- ARM-prosessors
- Microcontrollers
- Buses: Ethernet/TCP-IP, RS485/422/232, CAN
