We are looking for an experienced Scheduler for our client in Australia
The primary role of the Scheduler will be to provide daily support of manufacturing processes using the Primavera Project Management system (P6 v 7.0) and support other project controls functions.
We are looking for an experienced scheduler who is interested in being part of the development and implementation of industry best practice standards in regards to production control within the facility.
This position will provide expertise in managing multiple projects in the Oracle based Primavera Project Management system (P6 v 7.0).
The Scheduler will work with all functional department managers and key contributors to create production schedules which align to resources, customer requirements and project milestones. This will require a high level of collaboration and willingness for the Scheduler to be interactive.
You will be working the first 3-4 months in Vaasa, Finland in our clients office before working in a construction site in Australia
Tasks and responsibilities:
-Establish and maintain integrated engineering, procurement and production schedules in support of all projects.
-Publish and distribute daily production schedules.
-Input and update daily production status.
-Monitors and facilitates the production scheduling process from both the long and short term perspective to assure that production goals are met.
-Ensures alignment of procurement and production deliverables.
-Maximizes the efficiency of the work force through the resource management process.
-Coordinates shared resource activities over multiple projects.
-Provides reports and problem solving skills for various groups on multiple projects.
-Reports on production status and generates established KPI reports.
-Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Valid work permit in Australia needed,
-Minimum 5 years of full time project/production scheduling experience;
-Demonstrate a high level of proficiency with Primavera Project Management (P6 v 7.0)
-Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
-Must understand Project Management processes and philosophies (e.g. Change -Management, Integrated Product Teams, Project Baselines, etc.).
-Must be able to work effectively with internal/external requirements.
-Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and personnel both verbally and written.
-Demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong conceptual and analytical skills.
-Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment with recurring deadlines.
-Demonstrate ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously requiring strict adherence to schedules.
-Develop and maintain production schedules, update costs, and monitor budgets for large scale commercial hydro projects.
-Create reporting for specific functional organizations and business wide distribution including resource charts, pert charts, Gantt charts, concepts of float, schedule status, revisions, etc.
-Demonstrate ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions in order to recommend appropriate corrective action.
-Project Management Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) Certification preferred.
-Fluent in English
