The Finnish Red Cross is a humanitarian NGO, one of the 191 national organizations of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Our goal is to gather funds to help the people in the most vulnerable positions, both abroad and domestically.
Our work is guided by our principles of: Humanity, Equality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntarism, Unity and Universality.
You might already know some of our domestic or international aid work. Our aid can be anything from setting up water supplies and providing vaccinations to deploying full field hospitals or taking care of disaster area logistics. Domestically, some examples of our work are our first aid courses, friend service for the lonely and youth safe houses.
The chain of help begins from a donor. Please join us and help us to get more monthly donors!
We are waiting for you to join our positive and motivated international team! We can offer you a job like no other, it isn't easy, but the rewards are great and by working for us you can really make a difference.
We offer very flexible working hours. You can work between 2-5 shifts per week and one shift can be between 3-6 h long. You can affect your working times and the length of your shifts.
We offer a salary of 12,38 €/h for the fundraisers. When you work in the evenings (after 18:00), you will receive 15% extra pay and if you work on Saturdays, you will receive 25% extra pay for the day.
We will work on the streets, door-to-door, in shopping centers and in businesses.
As an employee of the Finnish Red Cross, you can witness our work from close range. You will also receive free First Aid training after you have been successfully working for us for at least 6 months.
We have an experienced coordinator and team leader to support you. We will do our best to ensure that you get a good start to the job and we will also provide continuous training. You will learn a lot form yourself by interacting with others and can improve your communication skills significantly. Even if you have a long working experience, this job can always teach you something new.
We expect that you are at least 18 years old, have excellent English skills and have a positive, fair attitude and good team working skills. Finnish skills are a major bonus, but not a requirement. Your job is to be the face of our organization and to tell the people about our work and to get new monthly donors to join us. With new monthly donors, we can ensure that our good work continues in the future as well.
We don't require any previous experience in the field, but we do want people with strong social skills and brave and positive attitude!
