This position is located in Vaasa
As our new Application Software Engineer you will be part of our customer-oriented Application Team that is in charge of application software development for our main products and customer specific application products in different customer segments, such as elevators, cranes, marine and energy. This position offers a large degree of independence for a self-guided professional.
You will be contributing to Danfoss Drives' strong market position and help further gain competitive advantage. Your main responsibilities:
-PLC-programming by IEC61131-3 tool / Model Based design using Matlab+ simulink
-Creating document data for manuals
-Technical knowledge support for applications (Expert support)
- Creating specifications of applications, based by customer requirements
Background & Skills
To be successful in this position we expect you to have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering. Other technical area with similar competence is also possible.
Furthermore, you should have:
Few years of experience of some automation segment (Industrial-, Energy-, Process- or Building automation) is an asset.
Previous experience in Model Based Design or programming is an asset
Fluent in English
Good communication and social skills, we work as a team both locally and remotely
Experience of AC drives or electrical motors is an asset. Our customers are worldwide, so sometimes travelling is required.
In addition, you are good in prioritizing things. You are resilient and can deal with complexity. You are a fast learner with the ability to adapt to changes.
